Lowestoft’s new amateur drama group is opening with Orwell. The North Sea Ensemble — run by Luminescence Theatre Company with Arts Council England support — stages Animal Farm (Bond) at Uplands Community Centre on 27 and 28 November 2026, both at 7:30pm.
The project is a test: can Lowestoft sustain a permanent non-musical community company? This is the first show. The script is Nelson Bond’s adaptation of George Orwell, licensed via Concord Theatricals / Samuel French. National Lottery funding through Arts Council England is behind it.
Tickets are £5. Use NAPOLEON at checkout for 20% off. Book through Luminescence — link above.
